In a world where digital convenience is paramount, Smeg, a leader in elegantly

designed Italian appliances, faced a significant challenge. Despite their reputation

for high-quality and aesthetically pleasing kitchen appliances, their user manuals,

particularly for the ECF01 coffee machine, remained trapped in the static

and often inconvenient format of PDFs.

In developing my project, I undertook a focused background research and

conducted a survey with Smeg ECF01 users. This process was aimed at

evaluating their experiences with the static PDF manual and gauging

interest in a more interactive, web-based alternative.
